Position Overview

Location

Located on the southern shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, Gilford, NH is known for being the “Recreation Center of New Hampshire.” Spend your summer days hiking, swimming, fishing, or biking and your winter days skiing, snowboarding, or taking in the views with scenic lift rides at our local ski resort. Grab a bite to eat at a local eatery before catching a show at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, there is something for everyone to enjoy year round!

Practice Overview

MacDonald Veterinary Services is a full service animal clinic that provides elite medical, surgical, and dental care for a variety of animals. Our practice strongly believes in a small town atmosphere where everyone knows each other and treats one another like family. We have built a culture based on family values, honesty, transparency,  and fun. We thrive in a fun environment where everyone enjoys coming to work every day and loves what they do!

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of small companion animal cases
  • Provide education to clients and staff on recommendations and choices in care
  • Maintain a positive work environment
  • Guide, utilize and mentor exceptional support staff

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program required
  • Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of New Hampshire
  • Surgical and dental experience preferred but not required
  • Highly motivated, with a desire to be amazing
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated compassion for patients and clients
  • Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
  • Ability to work weekends and on-call
